Spirit or Witch balls were used to ward off evil spirits. Folk lore has it that the evil spirits would be enticed by the bright colours. The glass strands inside the ball (diameter 15cm) would then capture the spirit and prevent it from escaping. Whatever you believe these lovely hanging balls will sparkle if hung near a window. Great house warming presents and each one is as unique as the friend giving it!
