The Butterfly Barn provides a safe haven for butterflies, moths, lacewings and other pollinating insects. The slats provide resting places, much like crevices in trees. The recycled plastic door provides access for cleaning and observing the inhabitants in cooler weather when they are inactive.

To encourage the butterflies to rest here, the food reservoir can be filled with sugar water or over-ripe fruit.
