Bee Hotels, sometimes called bee houses or insect houses, provide an array of suitable nesting places for solitary bees, such as Mason or Leafcutter bees. These bees are non aggressive and excellent for pollinating in the garden, helping to increase fruit yields. They also attract other useful insects, such ladybirds and lacewings, both of which are natural aphid & greenfly (garden pests) predators.
Our bee hotel was Gift of the Year Finalist in 2017. We chose this particular one for the variety of homes offered and the substantial build which provides over wintering safety for solitary bees and other insects.
Site your hotel in sunlight or light shade, about 1.5m above the ground.
A thoughtful present for lovers of wild life and gardens.
